Overall I like it for stands and mobile bases

It is made of durable material. It wasn't built and it was a bit of a hassle to build. The assembly instructions lack details. In general I like

Great addition to my wood shop

The base fits my W1706 bandsaw perfectly. It rotates and moves easily in my shop. I had no problems assembling it either, and since I have other Woodstock Mobile Bases I didn't need assembly instructions. I would have no hesitation in recommending this mobile base to my friends.

Replaced wheels before assembly

Very solid base but the wheels felt less good and didn't want to remove the heavy drill. I took the advice of other reviewers and replaced the wheels before assembling the base with hard rubber from CasterCity.com. The drill is very strong, easy to replace and is now easy to move around the workshop. Overall very happy with the base.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Mobile base Woodstock D2260.

Sturdy and relatively easy to assemble. I had to mount it around the band saw I bought it for, the saw weighed about 300 pounds. I didn't follow the instructions exactly but they will get you started and should work if you follow them closely. The mobile base I had was reasonably priced and is very solid when fully assembled. The lowered rubber feet stabilize the saw and store away easily.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Absolutely terrible videos.

I have 6 Shop Fox Mobile Bases in my shop. The bases are great but the wheels on the fixed and swivel casters don't hold up. The wheel has a hard center and is molded from a softer material that will crack and fall off over time, making the base difficult to turn. This happened to half the reels on my machines. All 4 fail under the table saw and yes I used the Grizzly blade recommended at the time. Now I'm replacing the caster wheels on all the subframes with cast iron wheels. Not fun as each…

  • Cable is shorter than other picks

I don't usually write reviews, I think this may be my second customer and I've been a customer since 2013. But I can't resist after spending 2 hours building this thing last night. I bought this model for my drill press which has a narrow footprint and as it can be adjusted quite a bit it was a good option. All my other mobile bases are from Jet, come almost fully assembled and cost little more. But like I said I needed something that could fit my drill press and the Jet product wouldn't fit…
