My last one lasted 10 years, I expect this one will last longer.

My old Zoeller M53 pump failed after 10 years so while looking for a quality replacement for the M63 I decided to use a more powerful and heavier version of my old Zoeller pump. I also replaced the check valve as a precaution. Installation was relatively easy. The only problem I had was that when I plugged it in I noticed that the hard translucent green plastic connector was broken. I was afraid of accidentally damaging it until I looked inside the box and saw the missing green plastic pieces…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Very expensive

Expected only 5 years (DO NOT wait 15-20 more years)

Appears to be a quality pump. This is a direct replacement and slightly better than the M53. And it costs extra dollars compared to the M53. You get a better switch, a metal impeller, a lighted plug, and a great price. But DO NOT expect these pumps to last 15-20 years like the old Zoller pumps. I learned that lesson with the M53. First I replaced one of those that lasted 15-20 years. The M53 replacement lasted 7 years, after which it failed. The second replacement M53 purchased in 2015 lasted 3

Very well made, very quiet

This is how this M63 was installed by a plumber at the Zoeller booth. The money difference between M53 and M63 is pretty small when you see what you get when you upgrade to M63. Our drain pump runs twice a day during dry periods and once an hour during wet periods. I was absolutely amazed by the quality of the pump. He replaced 10-year-old Little Giant. This Zoeller is very quiet and fast. I also asked the installer to replace the one-way valve on the discharge side, although initially he said…

Best drain pump I have found

I have been using Zoeller pumps for many years and have been using this Zoeller M63 drain pump for about 1.5 years. It replaced the Zoeller M57 which had problems with the float switch after about 4 or 5 years. Zoeller was great in sending me a replacement switch set. This was my second Zoeller M57 that I owned and the original had the switches changed 1 or 2 times. The pump itself was great, but the M57 derailleur doesn't hold up well. I explained to Zoller that I keep a spare sump pump for…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Update 8/21 - Bought 63 more for another location. Great pump! First Review - I have been using Zoeller pumps for decades and have never had an "early" failure. Previously they served 15 years, now 5-7 years for a 5-year version of this M63 with a warranty. I have had a 3 year M53 warranty for the last 5 years but I have changed my pumps for the very 5 years. What sets this Zoeller M63 pump model apart from the cheaper and similar HP Zoeller M53 pump is the redesigned float switch, cast iron…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Hard to tell
