Gulp Aluminum With Freshly Baked Bread

This car was great until it wasn't. Turns out the blades are aluminum and are slowly but surely wearing down to the point where they no longer work. As this blade deterioration is happening, the small piece that catches the blades and allows them to knead the bread is slowly carried into the bread, and my family has picked up the aluminum along with their bread. I'm not happy with that. Why make something you know will be worn and made out of aluminum? Maybe because people will buy replacement…

Disappointed with the loaf pan

In September I bought the Virtuoso Bakery and from the first loaf I knew I had the perfect car. Fluffy on the inside, perfect crust, great rise. I started using it every other day to make different breads, cakes, jams and meatloaf. No matter what I tried, it turned out perfect. I shared "my" creations with everyone who came, my family, friends, friends of friends, even my doctor. However, at the end of October (just a few days after the return date) the loaf pan came off a bit and I couldn't…

Blades are built to last just a few years. Then they start peeling off the coating and you risk food contamination. We had a Panisonic bread maker and have been using it for over 20 years with no problems. But this one, even though it costs twice as much, isn't made to last! The problem with disposable paddles is not only the cost of replacement, but more importantly, the risk of contamination. It's often discovered too late - you've already used up a lot of flakes and powder, split by a pair…

My least favorite purchase Zojirushi

I have a rice cooker, a grill and a kettle. It took me months to decide on a bread maker. It arrived and I enjoyed using it. What a disappointment. Followed the instructions on the letter.1. It was loud, unbelievable. The body of the machine vibrated. What a noise. By no means has the time function ever been used to start eating fresh bread for breakfast early in the morning. 2. The bread was nothing special. It tasted like cheap supermarket bread. (Yes, I have tried different breads and use…

The latest and greatest bread maker

Even though I've only been using this machine for two days and have baked one loaf so far, I don't hesitate to give a review beforehand. I've been baking my own bread for over 50 years and have owned the Original Zojirushi Bread Maker for over 20 years. When he passed away a week ago, I researched him carefully before deciding on Virtuoso Plus. Make no mistake, it's expensive, big and heavy (I needed my son's help to bring it home and set it up). However, once set up it was very easy to use and

Carefree Tasty Bread GF

I've been looking for a bread machine that bakes fantastic GF bread for a long time and I was lucky enough to buy this totally lightweight machine for a promotion. I didn't need an electrical engineering degree or a lot of time to bake GF's edible bread. Add wet ingredients, add Bob's Red Mill GF Wonderful Bread Mix, make a small indentation at the top to add the yeast provided by Bob, select the GF setting, then select dark, medium, or light bread, close the lid and press start. After about…

I didn't want to change my old Charlescraft after about 20 years, but after reading the rave reviews about Zojirushi I took the plunge. And, boy, I'm sorry I did it. I would NEVER buy this again. never never never First, good. The car is beautiful, reliable and well thought out. Excellent instructions, well thought out recipes and the top brown is a great addition. But that's where it all ends. After four months of using the machine and making about 20 loaves of bread in total, one of the…

Zojirushi BB-PAC20 VS Breville BBM800XL

My mom and I have been comparing reviews and articles about Zojirushi BB-PAC20 and Breville BBM800XL for 5 days. We ended up comparing both models because a friend has a Breville. For us it ultimately boiled down to the following key features: Zojirishi: + Longer bread pan (makes a regular sized loaf, just like you would buy in the store) + Heating element in the lid for even and even browning of all sides) Breville : + 4 Loaf Sizes + Nut Dispenser PHOTO DESCRIPTION: The first loaf we baked was
