Well, initially I wanted to be upset that it doesn't light up at all, but I'm also kind of stupid and forgot that it was probably supposed to "recharge" in the sun. The blanket was delivered at night so I turned off my black light and boom! Now it shines like a charm. My son loves this very much. A good product. If it doesn't light up, try shining it in the sun or shining a black light on the ceiling for about 10 minutes.
