I love products that are well thought out and executed and this phone holder combines all that and more. Very strong construction, very easy to assemble and install. The suction cup is coated with a sticky gel that leaves no residue when removed. However, it sticks to smooth surfaces. Even if you let go of the lever to release the suction cup, it still sticks pretty well. I've had a lot of stuff with this sticky gel and when they start to dust just rinse them out with water and they're like new again. By the way, it doesn't stick to the textured dashboard, it should be smooth. The mount itself is very easy to use and holds the phone very securely. When used in an upright position, it has a pair of lower legs that swivel to prevent the phone from slipping out of the holder. Inserting and removing the phone is very easy. Just slide your phone in and firmly press the two sides together. To solve, just press the button and they will expand. Btw I just found out that it also fits in my old Garmin LM-50 GPS, it actually has some free space. This is MUCH better than the original suction cup mount I have. Great product at a great price. Highly recommended.
