Review on Bell CO51 Octopus Cup Holder by Roy Reeves

Prevents drinks from spilling

I often put soda cans on the table and have been known to tip them over, especially when it gets late and I'm drinking beer. So I looked for a solution that would prevent condensation from getting all over my desk at once. Bell Octopus works for me. The only issue for me after only a few days is that the bottom cover on the Bell Octopus seems to be hard rubber so it doesn't offer much traction on hard/smooth surfaces. , and therefore glides fairly easily. To fix this I removed the bottom cap and quickly applied several coats of Plasti Dip to it. This flexible/peel/double-sided coating improved adhesion by 100% without having to cut epoxy and apply to softer rubber/silicone. While not ideal, the problem was easy to fix. I hope Plasti Dip gets stuck for the life of Octopus and I never have to think about it again. ) The Octopus is fairly light, which can be an issue when used in an environment where the surface can move (cars, boats, etc.). A little weight on the bottom would help a lot with that. 2) The internal drink handles appear to be made of some sort of coated and stiff thread. Although it hasn't been a problem with only a few uses so far, I see that after a while they quickly lose their shape and ability to hold drinks securely. They seem like an odd choice for this app, but maybe I'm completely wrong and they will last. The time will show.
