Excellent high pressure shower head

I bought this shower head after reading all the positive reviews. I will compare it to my current gold standard Siroflex. Unfortunately, the latest Siroflex model has unwanted changes like a non-removable flow restrictor and fewer holes, which made me search the internet for another alternative. First the positive. Aqua Elegante is equipped with silicone nozzles that allow you to easily remove water deposits that accumulate over time. This product is also available in a variety of body finishes (I bought mine in chrome) so that it matches the color of the pipe to which it attaches and blends in with the surrounding fittings. The water flow restrictor is also not built-in, so it can be easily removed. The biggest plus is that the Aqua Elegante claims to be a high-pressure showerhead. There is no misleading advertising here. I actually measured the water yield of this product for you guys. I marked the water level in a 5 gallon bucket after 1 minute of water flow. The water supply pipe is a standard 1/2 inch pipe on the second floor of my house. #1. The blue tape marked "1" was the shower head with the limiter installed. After 1 minute of water flow, it filled 45% of a 5 gallon bucket, which is 2.25 gallons per minute. This is slightly below US federal regulations, which limit these products to 2.5 GPM. #2 – The blue band marked "2” represents both Aqua Elegante and Siroflex with the limiter removed. Yes, I was curious, so I measured both. Each shower head produced the same water level after 1 minute of water flow, which surprised me as the Aqua Elegante was physically larger. But the Siroflex has more holes so I think it equals. After 1 minute of water flow, both showerheads filled 65% of a 5 gallon bucket, which is 3.25 gallons per minute. Number 3. The blue band marked "3" shows the water level without the shower head attached. As previously mentioned, the water outlet is from a standard 1/2 inch pipe. After 1 minute of water flow, it filled a 5 gallon bucket 75% full, which is 3.75 gallons per minute. I was surprised to learn that the flow of water between this shower head and a mere 1/2 inch water pipe with no nozzles was very small. Note that there is not much difference between water levels #2 and #3! If the water flow is 100% without a shower head, the Aqua Elegante/Siroflex lets 85% of the water through without a throttle. Very impressive. Now for the cons. Even after using Aqua Elegante I still prefer Siroflex. Because the spray pattern is much larger with the Aqua Elegante than with the Siroflex. This allows you to feel each of the 42 jets of water as they are further apart. In fact, it can be quite frustrating at times, as the combination of strong water pressure and long distances between water jets makes it feel like you're receiving acupuncture with water needles. With Siroflex I don't feel this effect because the smaller atomizer has a lot more holes and it's never uncomfortable. Remember that despite the physical differences between Aqua Elegante and Siroflex, the same amount of water is produced. Overall I think Aqua Elegante is a good product for the reasons above, but I would still recommend the old Siroflex model if you can find one.
