2 year old with autism sleeps better

My 2 year old with autism had such trouble sleeping. He woke up at 3am and started kicking, stopped and kicked for several hours until morning. I decided to buy it even though the weight is higher than recommended for my twins. I made sure he could slide the blanket away before using it. I sleep next to him too. He whimpered a little the first night, but he didn't kick! I would like to add that I live in California and the weather is usually warm. It's been cold the last few days so he's still freezing in it so I had to throw another thin blanket over him. So now I have to save money and buy another one for my other son. I wish these blankets were cheaper but this is amazing! The weight distribution is good; I've never owned or used a weighted blanket, so I can't compare them. The small beads slide down as you lift the entire duvet into its small compartments. I also hear beads when I put my kids to bed.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Big and bulky
