I understand how people find this cute but not for anyone who has ever worn actual waist trainers. It feels cheap (which it honestly is) and flimsy. It is a layer of leather that is not thick enough to hold tight lacing. I can usually lace myself, but I would not recommend this item. The best I could do was get a "comfortable" fit. It has about the same compression capabilities as the neoprene bandage commonly worn during exercise. The description says "Steel Bones" but I find it VERY hard to believe. It feels like a very thin, extremely flexible plastic. It is definitely a fast fashion item, not strong enough to withstand tight lacing. No thank you.
