I bought two of these, the pink twin and the gray one size and I am very happy with both. my bed until I left the house; I liked its velvety texture and warmth; just a little heavenly consolation. I've thought about this blanket for years but never knew what it was called and somehow I didn't realize they were still available until I stumbled across them at JC Penney's a few years ago. I was put off by the negative reviews but ended up buying one and making sure they are as great as I remember. (The two I bought were bought here.) Both faded a little during the first wash, but not after. So far I have washed both duvets several times. The double duvet is a little softer but as far as I can tell the duvets are the same quality as they were 30 years ago, except these new duvets don't have the satin finish that the original duvets had. I wish they would, but that's no reason to give it less than one star. I live in the Pacific Northwest and under a light blanket, these blankets keep me warm in the winter. I plan on having my third Vellux soon when my other baby moves into her first bed.
