I bought this set partly as a gift for a spa day with a friend, but mainly because I've always wanted to try it. I thought it was a great deal at $10 for a towel. I have not tried higher quality towels of this type so my review will be one sided. I found them to be quite rough and tough, but I washed and dried them before judging them. They came out a lot smoother. After using it in the pool I noticed that they didn't soak up water that well but it was enough to keep the water off my body. My hair, forget it. I compared them to drying with a paper towel. Rschunimagu. But it also has its great moments. It dries fairly quickly in the hot sun, meaning you don't have to take home a wet towel. It's big enough to use as a sarong! It packs so easy and small. I couldn't use these in place of my terry towels at home, but they would be nice by the pool or on the beach.
