On a recent country hunting trip, this worked great for charging GPS, cell phones, etc from my ATV. I already have an outlet on my ATVs for off-season charging and for hooking up a syringe. Only the same connection is used. The extension cord allows you to place it in a more convenient place. Using a larger battery to charge a cell phone is minimal, and you can use a voltage tester to check if you are over-discharging the battery. I also see myself being used on my motorcycle rather than in an accessory socket which often loses contact due to vibration. Unfortunately I can no longer recommend it. The product is good, I would like to buy more, but in 10 months they increased the price by 275%. They priced themselves out of the market 2 1/2 times.
