Review on Tornado Grey Vellux Microfleece Full/Queen Blankets – Cozy and Luxurious! by Adrienne Holmes

Good but not winter weight Vellux

As our much used original WestPoint Velux quilts with tags fell apart after too many washes I was delighted to see this Velux quilt from the same company here at Revain and ordered the full size in tornado grey. Upon arrival, I immediately noticed that this wasn't the same nylon velor velvet that was hotel style and kept us warm all winter; This is a high quality microfiber plush, not even the thickness of a plush velor blanket for warmth. I later read reviews of the original Vellux comforter here, but with many customers complaining about the lingering chemical smell despite washing, I'm going to try a full size plush velor bedspread for our bed and hope it's comfortable enough , without overheating us to sleep. in cold weather. Sorry to say goodbye to this beautiful foam lined velor, we will miss it. I think the popularity of microfiber and microfleece comforters has influenced the bedding industry, which used to have nylon vellux available from many different companies. Buy two of these for your bed or you'll need an extra blanket to keep you warm, at least in the northern states.
