Review on Hypoallergenic, Dermatologist Recommended Mederma AG Hydrating Facial Cleanser - Exfoliate, Cleanse, and Hydrate Skin with Glycolic Acid by Jessica Williams

I have been using Aqua Glycolic Cleanser morning and night faithfully for about 20 years. It was recommended to me by my dermatologist and has really helped control the occasional breakouts. I was sad to find out they were selling Mederma but decided to try a new product. My face immediately broke out with pimples and the pimples went away after switching back to what I had left of the original Aqua Glycolic cleanser. I see that Mederma labels the product as the same down to the packaging and explanation of ingredients, but if that were true I could make a smooth transition from Aqua Glycolic to Mederma with no change in my complexion. I have since found another facial cleanser that uses glycolic water and I am happy to report that my face is breakout free again! I'm disappointed that I had to make changes; I do not intend to use any Mederma product.
