Great shelf, good stick but very difficult to remove

So far this cart has been pretty good. I received two containers and three adhesive sheets with three clips each. I decided to trim the sheets as I'm a guy who doesn't have a lot of things to hold on to and I move around a lot. The panels are easy to cut, but it was much more difficult to align the bin unless two clips are attached to the same panel. The adhesive foils themselves are provided with industrial adhesive. They stick to the wall as soon as they touch and even when fresh they are quite difficult to remove in order to reposition them. The reason for the four stars is that the adhesive is extremely difficult to remove. About a month later I decided to move the cart and by removing it from the backing sheets (two since I had cut them in half) and reinstalling it, it was easy to remove the backing sheets from the wall. Another note to turn it off, one of the brackets holding the carriage broke when I tried to take it off to change position. At first I tried just pulling the sheets out by hand, but I gave up after tearing off just one corner about an inch. I left the sheets on the wall for a couple of months until I got out my heat gun (the industrial version since I don't have a hair dryer) before trying again. Cracked a leaf at high temperature (>1000F) and only managed to tear the hard plastic part of the leaf. I ended up using a paint scraper to remove the hard part from the wall but most of the glue remained. I thought I would be smarter and choose a low temp (350-500F) on another sheet thinking I might have overheated but I had the same result using a paint scraper and glue stuck to the wall. If you plan on renting these things (rental/renting/dorm/etc) I would be very careful with that. I can easily see that this glue is stronger than the grout holding the old tiles to the wall or the glue holding the laminate together. The heat didn't help, so maybe some lemon thinner would work better. I don't know the answer, but as long as you have a cart in a place you really like and don't plan on taking it off, it's a tricky little thing!
