Great product for electrical and electrical engineering

We bought this adapter because the Florida heat sometimes leaves our air conditioner running all day. Need a little more power when camping at Disneyland.

Pros
  • Rugged and Safe 50-30Amp RV Adapter with 14-50P mains plug with straight plug for side of parking stand and regular 30R socket to connect trailer cable to this length RV Adapter 1, 5ft
Cons
  • None

Only 120V and 3 wires.

This is meant to be a 4 wire 4 pin configuration. There are only three wires in the cable. The cable is only rated for 120 volts, not 240 volts. Misleading Advertising.

Pros
  • 1 year trial period
Cons
  • -

A useful device when you need it.

although I haven't used it yet looks like it's what I need on a hike. This allows me to camp on either a 30 amp or a 50 amp pad, and some RV parks only have 50 amp pads.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Must have for RV'er

I like Cable Matters and everyone in RV should have one of these because there is no consistency between one RV fleet and another. I'm sure an electrician could tell you if there's a difference between this brand and any other brand, but I can't. All I know is that I can plug it in, the surge protector reports the correct wattage/amps/watts etc and it works. So I'm happy.

Avoid at all costs! Fire hazard! Do not buy! could kill you!

This thing is a fire waiting in the wings. See my video for details. You will see other reviews stating the switches clicked when plugged in. Mine too. It turns out that this is due to a short circuit. This converts 240V/50A to 120V TTRV. He has to use one of the two "hot" legs, neutral and grounded, and the other just dead. Instead, both hot sides connect to the same foot on ttrv. The two devices are 240V apart, creating an instantaneous short circuit. Avoid at all costs!

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • There are problems
