Size doesn't fit very well. I bought this for my 4 year old on average (8/10). She is 4.5 years old, weighs about 50 pounds, is 44 inches tall and wears a size 5/6. The medium size fits perfectly, with little room to grow. If I bought her right size (5/6) she would never be able to wear a bathing suit.
