They turn out shorter than in the picture, after washing the fabric is not soft and does not have a sticky fall. Feels like a lower quality 100% cotton t-shirt. They have shrunk in length after washing and although I use a very small amount of mild soap when washing, the fabric has changed a bit (for the worse). manufacturer photo. They may be good for sleeping, but I think they can be used in any everyday setting. They are perfect for home, pool, beach trips and summer walks around the neighborhood. Would definitely buy again. The fabric weight is just perfect for comfort and I wouldn't change that one bit and would buy again when they wear out. Also, it would be nice if the color of the fabric was denim, khaki or other solid colors that might be more suitable for outdoor wear. Great shorts!

I'm always on the lookout for lounge shorts with pockets big enough for my large iPhone that also keep the phone in the pocket. It's cotton and it's great and you can't beat the price for 2 packs. I just received my first order of these shorts. I tried them on right away and was amazed. Having pockets is a big plus for me. Washed and dried in an air unit. Well washed. I like that they are slightly longer (inseam in plus sizes is about 4.75 inches) than other shorts (inseam is 3.5-4 inches) that can be worn as sleep shorts.
