I bought this for my son because I had one when I was a kid. I thought he would enjoy building something in the snow like my brothers and sisters and I did. So far, so good. We just need more snow! :)

This is a plastic rectangular box with a handle. path for the price. I bet they can make these things like a dime; kind of like milk cartons. It is what it is but the price is too high

Straight from my childhood. It flexes a bit with packed snow, but it's plastic, which is to be expected. Works best with day 2 snow that is low in moisture. Powder doesn't work very well unless you really put layers in it. In general, it works as I expected!

My nephews built a snow fort when we first had enough snow. And although the igloo was a little warped, we had to force her back into the room to warm her up. Her goal was to build a "snow town" for her snow family. These things are HUGE distractions in this high tech world we live in! Something so simple and yet so much fun! I really wanted to buy them for my boys last year. This year I made it just in time for Christmas. We only had one snowy day to test them; However, they worked like clockwork and we were able to quickly assemble a wall at the end of our driveway. I got six of these and they were shipped to me here in Japan because I just couldn't find anything that even came close to this simple snow block making machine. They arrived very quickly and let me tell you it was SO worth the shipping cost. My Japanese friends just UNDERSTOOD this, they immediately started seeing images of their kids spending hours building snow/sand forts while finally getting a slightly expired P&Q relaxing in the background while they were on sipping their favorite drinks.
