misleading description.

Ordered 4 pairs, different colors, all hanes. Supposed to be 100% cotton, each pair is actually 50% polyester. I think they make good dusters, shame about the price these are premium dusters.

Covered in plastic microfiber

Don't even open the box it came in it's that bad. The photo shows shorts under a UV flashlight with a 365 nm filter after washing and rolling the pile. The blue goggles are the plastic microfibers on the shorts that are woven into the fabric. The load of laundry and the next load spoiled; had to unroll everything for hours to remove the plastic microfibers. I grew up in Winston-Salem near the old Hanes mill and mall. They used to make high quality clothes but not anymore.

Hanes vs. Fruit of the Loom vs. Soffee

Not knowing the difference, I bought all three: these Hanes shorts along with Fruit of the Loom and Soffee - just to find out which is the best is. All three are very similar. I bought a size smaller than the pants because of the elastic waistband. I really like the fit on all 3 and I'm glad I went smaller! I don't like baggy things. Hanes is certainly acceptable, but I prefer Fruit of the Loom for deeper pockets and Soffee for deeper pockets and more durable fabric. All three are suitable for…

Good value for money! But know what you are buying.

If you're looking for super soft premium shorts, look elsewhere. The material leaves a lot to be desired. They feel like the coarse cotton material of a free promotional t-shirt. Not soft on arrival but hopefully will soften after a few washes. However. they are still comfortable. I'm 5ft 11", 158lbs (usually waist size 32) and ordered a size medium. The waistband is not loose, but not too tight either. That's right. The length is a little shorter than I usually prefer (just above the knee) but

They fit so I bought six more pairs.

Far from being fantastic, these cheap shorts are exactly as expected, which is not always the case these days! The fabric is quite thin and flimsy. The number of hanging threads is not too large. The pockets are big enough. The shorts fit, which in my case means I can order a size or two smaller than today's norm to be closer to my favorite shorts from the 70's and 80's. .Short legs require short shorts! When I have time and motivation enough, I hem them so that they have a 5 inch inseam. After

Pretty good lightweight shorts

As for the obvious discrepancies in fabric composition, for some reason these Hanes shorts use different fabrics depending on the color. Your best bet is to check them out on the Hanes website to confirm what you're getting. I bought Camo Green Heather. This color is 50/50 cotton/polyester. They don't have a pattern, so I don't know where "camouflage" came from; I would describe it as a dark olive heather - olive with a hint of grey. The fabric is fairly light and the pockets are flat. I'm fine

These shorts win the training and fitness program

Like everything about these shorts. Dislikes: nothing, they are perfect. Full Disclosure: I am a woman, I buy men's shorts because they are cheaper, fit better, come in non-pastel colors and are more durable than women's versions. These shorts are lightweight, have an elastic waistband that doesn't bulge, and they have pockets so I can do chores or lounge around the house and keep my phone with me. It's not the softest fabric out there, but it's a fully functional cotton. They are by no means…

Good cut, good fit, exceptional price

Very basic black sports shorts. The pockets are the perfect size and everything I need for sports fits in, namely my cell phone and inhaler. The rest of the pockets are unobtrusive. Fits well, the belt doesn't bother. The color does not wash out in the wash, even in white or light-colored laundry. Breathes well during light and intense workouts. Also works well as a backup swimsuit, although I haven't tested it in salt water, only fresh water. The stitching is well finished and has not frayed…
