Required Model for Costco/Sams HP Pavilions Ultra Slim Computers

Because the documentation that came with my son's new college laptop from Costco (the same one Sam has) doesn't list the actual lock type, and neither does it online. Resource, I took the "thin" version of the lock first, but it was about 1mm less than needed to fit it into the slot. 'Castle (this). Slim and Nano look EXACTLY the same, but Nano is a few hairs thinner. Works great, easy to set up (and reset) the combo.

Pros
  • Regular Price
Cons
  • Sad Packaging

Incredibly unreliable - Watch video

Just shake and it's off. The head is not wide enough to hold a laptop. I can just move it back and forth by tugging and it comes off very easily. Watch the video for proof.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • No machine gun

This item fits HP Elite x2 1012 G2

Hard to Find Cable Lock for HP Elite x2 1012 G2 Laptop. "G2" for the second generation is an important distinction. None of the cable locks designed for the "HP Elite x2 1012 G1" fit the G2. G2 is a very narrow slot. This requires one of those "NANO" cable locks, which are smaller and narrower than a regular lock. The cable itself looks normal and sturdy.

Pros
  • Computer and Accessories
Cons
  • Easily Torn

Fits my HP Pavilion laptop

Bought a new HP Pavilion laptop a few weeks ago. There was difficulty finding the lock. The shop where we bought it sold us the wrong lock but there was no suitable one. The laptop slot is smaller than the standard Kensington size. Did a little research online and tried Nano Saver. Thanks Revain for that! It fits perfectly and the mechanism seems to lock and unlock easily with no issues. Our daughter uses it as a lock cord at school.

Pros
  • Security locks
Cons
  • Expensive
