The thread where you screw the plug onto the base is not correct so the plug is not straight. It works but you have to click on it to close the tub.

My old one was obviously worn out and caused my bathtub to leak every time someone took a bath. All I had to do was unscrew this little piece and replace it and the leak was gone. I wish I had done that sooner.

I don't know where the size 1" came from because it's more like 2" in diameter. In any case, it was an exact replacement for the original drain plug and a fairly easy installation.

I noticed a slow drain when taking a bath and my husband thought it was a cork, rubber seal so he ordered this to fix it and he did! The bathroom is like new, even better. The plug used to not rise high enough to drain the water quickly, now it rises. Came right away which was good because I missed my Epsom salt baths!
