It's a giant bin but I really wish both the bin and the bin weren't ugly. The lid could be better if it could be locked in the open position. I feel like you have to press the pedal too hard to open the lid.

Reviews of this product are everywhere but I like mine. Looks great and very well made. I went for the larger one and I'm glad I did, now I can be lazy and not recycle for a few extra weeks. The mine is equipped with two separate detachable funnels for emptying. My kitchen has a built in trash can so I only use it for recycling.

Very heavy which is perfect as we bought it to replace small litter boxes that dogs can knock over. I don't really see them getting into that unless they work as a team with one standing on the pedal and the other hopping. If you have a small kitchen it will look out of place as it is very large. I also have to let you know that the lid is heavy, so it takes quite a bit of pedaling power to open it. Not a big deal, and actually great for our purposes.

Very well done. We wanted one of these sizes for our kitchen, but we didn't want 2 plastic liners in that separate bin. However, after we took them off and tried to use the bin liner, it ripped and fell apart when we took it out due to plastic parts protruding into the tank. If the walls in the metal can were smooth, that would be perfect for us. However, as it is, it is troublesome.

We have a 13 gallon dual purpose trash and recycling bin. Great bench, very durable. My wife loves the size, I wish we had gone with the 24 gallon double liner because the recycle side fills up pretty quickly, but I have to admit it's a more reasonable size.
