I bought this car, the 3rd brake light came with another seller's item and both were dim as hell, the 3rd brake light on my works truck was a lot brighter. Don't waste your time buying this item, it's not very bright. I buy Factory 3rd replacement brake and cargo LEDs and this helped.

Don't buy this, the lights on it don't even illuminate the bed because they shine straight back (and no, I didn't flip them)! The lume works much better and actually illuminates the bed when you turn on the bedside light. Don't waste your time like me, just get Lumen. The truck model my truck entered is a 2006 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE Crew Cab.

Fits perfectly. Installation was easy. It's not light, but what do you think you're getting? This is a dim light. It's for looks. If you need more light for your cargo, don't buy this one and stop complaining about it being too dark. And for those who experienced the leak, it's your fault. If you are removing an old light fixture, you must remove all traces of silicone or foam before installing that light fixture. Any remaining gasket material from the old light will cause it to leak.

If like me you don't want to use a cargo light, this light will do. I have never "needed" a cargo light on any truck I've owned. I know what I wear and how I wear it. Also, the "fuse box" is the driver for the LED, it heats up, but don't worry because I don't drive with the load light on here either, and not on the brakes. So it's not a problem. The headlights look great during the day and the tinted lenses go perfectly with my dark truck. I'll post a photo at night once the sunsets!

Very easy installation! I love that it comes with self-adhesive foam insulation that runs between the truck and the light to make it more water and weather resistant. I couldn't take the original third brake light anymore lol. The truck now looks sleek and modern while retaining its old custom look. I will update the light photos when night falls.
