I was pleasantly surprised when I received this mount. I was afraid it would be flimsy or not fit, but it's of fairly rigid plastic construction and will hold its shape. The front radio insertion hole is precisely manufactured. Fits perfectly, stays in place. I definitely recommend it.

I have a 1978 Mini that doesn't have a radio mount so I bought this mount and Metra 99-9000 Dash Kit For Uni Under Dash Full Shroud from Revane. They were both well made but in the end I settled on the Schosche kit for the final install. The Schosche kit looked a little better with rounded corners and also suited my application a little better. It was very easy and I am very happy with it.

Scosche Universal Dashboard Kit: Heavy plastic construction and rear cutouts are nice, but there's no way to attach the 1-DIN auto connector to the chassis. There is no way to screw the radio on and there are no support ribs in the case to mount the car radio. The stereo flops, except when held by the bezel. The design could be much better.

I used this to install the stereo in our Holiday Rambler trailer. I painted it to match and installed a marine stereo which I also ordered for it. A tight fit but looks like it should be there by now. By snug I mean behind the radio. All the cables and connectors on the back of the radio fit fairly close to the back of the case. The radio face insert makes it look more like a professional setup. I couldn't be happier with that.
