Great for sensitive skin and fine to normal hair

As I have a beard I don't like modern multi-blade razors at all. My wife bought me a new safety razor and brush set at our spring fair, so I needed "real" blades. Vikings Blade caught my eye (my dad was from Sweden) and as they had a great price they went to the cart. I couldn't be happier. They are very well made, sharp enough to shave without extra pressure and soft enough to protect this old man's face from razor burn. I will use these and no others.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Small things

Welcome home again!

When I bought my first Vikings Blade Chieftain safety razor, the shave was incredibly close, smooth and comfortable. The razor had five blades. These blades were an important part of that wonderful first shave. Since then (after those original blades were used up) I've been "hunting for the blade". I was trying to find a similar blade that would work just as well as the Swedish steel blades that come with the Vikings Blade Chieftain. Some blade brands have almost mimicked that first great…

Perfect blade for my face

I have tried many razor blades. I have a hell of a lot of respect for ultra-sharp katana-style razors like the Feather (what an ironic name), but these blades give me the best shave for what I am. I'm a doughy white guy with very thin and sometimes coarse hair. It's not rude. And I have sensitive skin. In short, this blade was perfect for a guy like me. It made my face smooth (who the hell thought of that?) with no irritation. Everyone needs to find the right blade for themselves, but if you're

Vikings Blade is exceptional

As an experienced shaver, I often look for ways to improve my shave. I have completed my usual test run of the Vikings Blade DE blades. Incredible shave to say the least. The packaging is compact and plain, which put me off briefly as, like most blade packaging, it makes a statement. After removing one of the blades, it turned out to be in a double sleeve. Then the blade itself, with no imprint, logo, etc. This is where I started to think. Then the actual test. My first shave was a revelation…

Not the blades I was hoping would be

When I got back to blade shaving a few years ago I have pretty much every other type of double edged blade tried blade out there. At least everything I've ever found. I was happy to find another blade that was also made in the USA. My first impression is that this is the same blade as the Personna Medical Blade (also made in the USA) with a plain white sheath and no markings on the blade. Unfortunately, she also shaves just like Personna. Readers should understand that this topic is EXTREMELY…

MADE IN CHINA Compatible with cartridges and refills

I switched to razors last year to reduce my carbon footprint, reduce plastic use and save money. I chose this company because the blades had good reviews AND they were individually paper wrapped unlike other companies that sell 100 blades in plastic boxes of 5 blades. are "Swedish Steel" but had a sticker on the back of the box saying "Product of the People's Republic of China" (People's Republic of China). I may be ignorant but I didn't know that Swedish steel is made in China. If I knew that,
