Nice soft pillow for sleeping face down.

This pillow is soft and not as bulky as others I've tried. The hole could be a bit bigger or maybe open as it covers my mouth.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Minor issues

Don't waste your money

Typical bait and hint. In the photos it looks like it's sticking its head off the surface. It's just an overpriced donut hole with no stand. To return.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Some little things

It saved a life!

My husband used this after treating 2 retinal detachments in his left eye. He was forced to stay face down for a week. It really was a lifesaver! He said it was soft and comfortable and made the whole ordeal a little more bearable.

Cons
  • Embarrassing

Poor pillow design Specialty Medical Pillows

Although the pillow is filled with fiberfill and is soft and comfortable, there is no inner sidewall or contoured foam to actually support the face. The hole is big, so gravity pulls the face through. The plastic bottom is a straight square shape with a top open on three sides rather than the curved "U" shape that would help support a poorly designed face opening.

Pros
  • There's a point

Ideal for eye surgery!

My 18 year old grandson was accidentally hit in the eye with a ricochet bullet. After the surgery, vision is not restored in the eye, but doctors are working to save the eye so it doesn't die. This pillow allowed him to sleep comfortably face down, nothing else helped. I am so thankful for this pillow after my retinal surgery. Many Thanks.

Pros
  • understandable even for the old ones
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

Face hole too small for bedding

I just had eye surgery and bought it to make me more comfortable with my face down. The hole is too small. Putting your head in this position pushes your chin back, which is uncomfortable. If you try to slide up so your chin is in the hole, your eye that you just had surgery on will rest on top of where your forehead goes. Also, the material is too soft as your face falls through the plastic frame. So if you have eye surgery, DO NOT buy this. It's too late for me to order anything else.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Useless functions

Great purchase decision!

I was scheduled for macular hole (vitrectomy) surgery and wasn't sure I should spend money on it. I figured I could build something of my own to keep me comfortable on those days when I'm upside down. Was I glad I had it! I don't sleep on my stomach and it wasn't easy to settle down at night hoping for a good nights sleep. This pillow really helped! The fabric is very soft and I have used other pillows to keep my head and arms in a comfortable sleeping position. It was money spent!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
