After reading the other reviews, I decided I should order a size up than my usual. I am 5'7" and I normally wear a 5 or 7 depending on the brand. In the past, when I bought dress pants, I always had to buy down a size or two so I was really worried about ordering up. I went ahead and ordered the 9 and I probably could have ordered an 11. My younger cat figured out the other childproof locks to the food, but not these one even after months. Keeps the door closed to the older cat room from the dog who was breaking in when we left the house and recking havoc in there. Not too tight, but not too loose. Fitted, and spandex nylon makes them stretchy and comfortable. 36" waist 190 lb and XL fits great. Tight but not form fitting tight. Wish there was more available colors like pale blue, green, or gray, instead of bright swimming pool colors. I just finished installing this hardware. It looks nice, rolls very smoothly. If your door is 1 3/8s thick or slightly less you will need to buy extra washers for spacers. Instructions leave some to be desired a bit confusing in Step#1 as to distance from top for bolt hole. The distance they say is from the top hole, not the top of the door. See full review
