These fit as I would expect them to- I used my measurements and the chart to choose my size and they fit perfectly. I like to contra dance, but have learned that I prefer to have some kind of shorts on under my skirts and dresses for modesty's sake as well as to prevent chub-rub. These are the perfect bowls. They easily hold plenty of cereal or a big serving of salad. They aren't hot when they come out of the microwave. My five kids have done their best to knock them around (unintentionally, or so they claim) and they don't shatter or chip, even on my tile floor. I've been using these a bit longer than a year, and they've held up fairly well. About 4 months ago, some of the butter knives started to show some rust around the serrations, which has spread. Most of them are still good. I was a bit concerned about the durability of the black finish, but it's still in good shape, free of scratches or chipping. it came in a sealed plastic wrap , in a box and sealed in more wrap. containers to keep them in when done ,all in all this was very carefully wrapped,and sealed .
