They expand and retract very easy and light weight. They are perfect for our laundry in our RV. If we want to use the campground laundry we just pick up and go. We put these on every door of our new home. We also added these rubber bumpers to protect the trim, as some of the reviews said the stopper towards the trim would dent the trim. I love this brand of case. Does an excellent job of protecting my phones. And not terribly expensive either. I've dropped my phone many times and it completely protects it all the way around. One thing I will say is I'm not really thrilled with the kickstand. It's been hard for me to open up.
