I always put a couple coats of oil based poly on the outside, right out of the box, to help it hold up longer and repel oil stains etc. I’m sure it would be fine without it, but I’m in the construction trade and I’m hard on my phone/case. Great case, I usually have my photo ID in it, with three or four debit cards, insurance card and a few bills in the large pocket. The bills need to be folded in half to fit btw. Top fit as expected and feels nice and soft. Doesn't wrinkle while wearing and it washes nicely in cold water. I put in dryer on low for a few minutes then hang to finish drying. This shirt is the first one I’ve ever ordered on ebay (I don’t like online clothes shopping). It’s gorgeous and a great deal for the price. I’m 5’7”, currently 172 lbs, and ordered a medium. It’s definitely stretchy enough to accommodate me, but if you don’t have a flat stomach, and having that be defined while wearing the shirt will make you self conscious (of course, I hope not), this may not be the shirt for you.
