This product is true to its advertising and has been a game changer for my two dachshunds (18 & 16 lbs). Prone to IVDD, their spine health is critical and it's a challenge to keep them from jumping on/off the beds and couches. So this hook is big, very well made and impressive. The reason for 3 stars and not 5 is that as soon as I saw the carabiner I thought what a cheap looking thing. The hook is solid and I have no doubt could hold a lot of weight but that carabiner. the locking mechanism is flimsy and loose.
