Soon as we cut the package open this horrible, toxic chemical smell was overpowering. There are no words to describe how strong and horrible this smell is. We actually had to put it outside and wash our hands and air out the rooms we carried it through once opened. It was ridiculous. Easy to lay down. We used it for a home gym that we are working on. We didn't want the standard black which shows all the dust and footprints. We haven't had them long enough to speak to durability. They feel slick if you are wearing just socks so be mindful of that.
