It's actually leak proof. I will warn, it will drip out of the spout but that's from little ones leaving fluid in the spout when they remove it from their mouth too soon. I've had no issues with these cups. I saw some reviews that it's hard to line up, but no other explanation so let me explain. The lid is difficult to line up with how the cup should be held but kids don't care how they're "supposed" to hold a cup and it doesn't affect drinkability and it still doesn't leak. I absolutely love these! They are so nice and soft to the touch and have lots of give in the fabric so they move easily with you. They are thin enough to get by with in the summer. I have done a LOT of these kits and this was one of my least favorite. Why? It was missing some wood pieces and some fabric. It doesn’t come with any tools. I understand that due to shipping restrictions sometimes these kits cannot come with glue or batteries. But they could come with tweezers and scissors or a straight-edge knife (utility knife). I love this sweater dress. It fits like a bodycon dress for me but I don't mind it at all. It goes well with leggings but I wear mine without any jeans or leggings or tights.
