The measurment they say it is is wrong, the reason it is wrong is because they are not accounting for the extra inch on each side the plastic pieces that hold it together hand off. The grates alone is the measured amount they have listed, this is why i bought this was because it fit it my closet cubby with with a half inch to spare. not with the plastic pieces on it though. My dog doesn’t chew leashes but this one doesn’t seem like it would be chew proof. It’s 3/4 inch wide which I don’t love. I prefer a 1 inch wide leash because it’s easier to hold. The neoprene handle would be better if it was a wider leash. It doesn’t really offer much help with it being a thinner material. It works well for my dog though. She’s a 65 lb pitbull who pulls and this has held up. I just wish they made a wider option.See full review
