These are thick plastic that will hold up well. I was putting these on a cement wall so I purchased command strips to hold them on the wall. It would be awesome if they came with command strips or something of the sort but I also understand that I am in a unique situation with cement walls. It's a great product to use for teething babies who don't have teeth yet. The holes are big enough that the food will pass through but small enough that baby wouldn't be getting chunks of food. It does what it's suppose to but like another review mentioned it can get discolored. I put a piece of frozen mango in one and well that one is discolored a shade of orange now. I liked the fact that these earrings locked and wouldn't fall out. I looked at measurements and widths before ordering. I have never bought hoops online before.
