I find that this actually runs more true to size. . . In other similar tops I have had to go up to a 3XL to fit closer to an XL. I ordered a 3X as usual, and I am swimming in it. Ordered my normal size, waiting for it to arrive now.This is light weight, not like a hoodie. I like the black with grey trim, bc it looks a little. "More" than just a plain shirt. I needed a plain brown set to make a gingerbread boy outfit. That's a hard thing to find! Lots of other colors are out there, but few manufacturers offer just brown and with no graphics. I did assume I would need to order a size up. LM is just now wearing some 2T, so the 3T worked great and he was so comfortable. Very necessary for a costume, especially on an active 18 month old. The coat fits well and is warm, but the hood is so huge that it flops all the way down to my nose/mouth with no adjustments rendering it unusable. Also, the very first day, I pulled on the flap to pop open the pocket and the flimsy fabric ripped immediately. I decided to keep it due to not wanting to shop further, but it's not the ok-for-business/dresses coat I'd hoped it would be.
