I bought these because we were going to be kayaking, rock jumping, waterfall climbing. They were thin enough that when they were wet, they were not cumbersome and thick enough that I did not feel unsafe on the shores while trying to get in the kayak. I didn't get to using any of the larger sizes, but the smaller ones rounded off before I could finish building an RC kit.
