I am a mail carrier and the USPS approved winter had was too small and not warm enough. I have been wearing this hat for the last couple of weeks carrying mail in Michigan winter weather. It is very warm and perfectly fits my 7 1/8 head. I only have one complaint: the male end of the chin strap buckle has already come off and is lost. I really enjoy these boots - I actually bought the 9.5 pair - I usually wear it. Take this from me - I read all the reviews before buying these and went with my original size of 9.5 but no you should go up!
