Completely not it's initial intent, I bought this for fixing flyaways during costume changes. It works great to smooth out hairs and its compact design stashes easily when space is at a premium. I bought these after the identical looking (on screen) notebooks were discontinued by Muji. I thought the paper would be smooth for writing with fountain pens like the Muji ones. But I was seriously disappointed by the coarse texture of this paper, not at all pleasant to write on for extended periods with fountain pens. This was a perfect fit on my 5'0" 120 lb. frame. I'm short so it's a little longer, but I like it that way. The only issue I had was that the applique on the front was very crooked. I took the stitching out and reapplied it and sewed it straight. It took less than 30 minutes, but if you don't sew or don't know anyone who does, this could present a problem for you. I wanted to love these but they just aren’t moisturizing for my lips. In fact they have the opposite effect where if they are very drying to my lips so much that they feel chapped after less than 10 minutes of wearing them. Our dining room chairs were filthy after years of being ignored. I got an estimate on having them reupholstered-$100 a chair with my material. For $15 I can redo all 4 and they look like new.
