When this gel pack is hot, it’s really good for muscles. My muscles are loosened up but I do prefer it on my bare skin despite it saying to use with a towel. It took about five to ten minutes to feel the effects when using it while it’s hot. I think it’s pretty good sized compared to most gel packs. It can cover a medium size area. Bought this skirt for my teenage daughter who was looking for some fall and winter skirts. She is about 5’7”, 140 lbs and the size small fits her perfectly.
