It's not glass bit plastic and there were a couple little dings, and the plastic was easy to accidentally scratch. I've been looking for new shapewear for awhile now, and have been trying not to spend $50-$100. I bought the size XL. I'm about a 16-18 US, and it fit perfectly! This is a definite dupe for spanx and day. I work a job where I'm cleaning, and bending, and this didn't budge or roll down at all. It does have a gusset, but it's small and I wouldn't dare try to use it. You just pull them down when you have to go, and they easily come back up. Received the item with huge scratches on it (so judging by this I don't think this item will be super sturdy). And sleeved cards do not fit well in it. A bunch of us girls wore this dress in navy, and light blue for a wedding. All of us girls range from short to tall, and vary in weight. It looked flattering on all of us, and fit true to size. The instructions that came with the item were vague, to say the least. I had to look up a video online how to assemble it. The guy in the video kept saying how easy it was but it kicked my butt. Also the pieces that connected the unit were unstable that the unit came with zip ties to secure them all in place. This took me 2 days about 6 hours to assemble. If not assembled correctly the doors do not square up. Otherwise it looks like the picture. See full review
