How to write interesting reviews

How to write interesting reviews

We recently announced the introduction of the new reward system. When it’s ready, the reviewers will be rewarded for views of their rewards.

The more often users read the review - the more rewards a reviewer will get. What’s more important - the rewards for each review will keep coming for as long as the review is read. So it is possible to write a review and keep getting rewards for months.

Good reviews should be written accordingly. Here are some tips:

People search for all kinds of things online. And when they want to learn about a product or a service, they usually open and read the reviews.

So if you write about an interesting subject, you will get a lot of views and big rewards. How do you know what to write about?

The easiest way to do it is by using a service that will show you the search trends. You can try Google Trends, Keyword Tool, WordStream, or other platforms. Test different keywords, find a fitting subject, and start writing!

Let’s assume that you decided to write a review of an air conditioner. By checking the keyword “air conditioning” we can find out that the trend is on the rise:

It means that many people will see your review and are likely to read it. So it’s a good idea to write about it!

Share your personal experience

Stories are the best way to learn new things. It applies to the reviews as well.

Don’t just describe a website or a product - people don’t need to read a review to learn these things. For example, a phrase like “This shop has a “Cameras” section” is next to useless - other people can just go to the shop’s website and see this section.

Good reviews answer important questions about a customer’s experience. This type of feedback is most helpful to other consumers and to companies.

For example, here are some big questions that you might answer in a review of an online service or an online shop. Why did you decide to use this service? Did you like the website, was it easy to navigate? What’s your overall impression of the platform? Did you contact the support service? Were they helpful? How fast was the delivery? Are there any special offers?

Reviews of products are a bit different. Most people tend to care more about how the product works than about its manufacturer or vendor. Yet your overall impressions are still the most important part of a review.

Here are some questions that you might answer in a review of a product. Why did you decide to use this product? What does it do? Are there any similar products? Why is this product better or worse than other options? Is it easy to use? How long were you using it?

And in pretty much any review the biggest question is “would you recommend it?”.

These are just tips, you don’t have to follow them. Yet if you keep these questions in mind, your review is going to be much better.

Don’t write more just to fill the requirement for the number of symbols - it will be boring to read. Yet if you have a lot to share - don’t be afraid to go into details. People often want to learn the particularities before they buy a product or use a service.

Show the interesting stuff

You can attach the images to your reviews for a reason. After all, one picture is worth a thousand words.

We recommend focusing on the things that might be interesting for the readers. If you are writing about a service - show the elements of the interface, the process of registration, the profile settings, etc. If you are writing about a product - show how it looks, how it works, how much it costs, etc.

It would be even better if you can lightly edit images to make them more useful for the readers. Putting in simple arrows or underlining the important parts can make your image much better.

Let’s assume that you are writing a review of Revain. You can start with a screenshot of the main page and explain what each element is.

Then you can write about other parts of the platform, for example, explain the registration process:

After that you can go into details, for example, explain how user profile works:

These small touches make reviews much easier to understand and much more informative.

So what do you need to do to get the rewards?

Here’s the complete list of the requirements

1) The review needs to pass the community moderation. Before the moderation is complete, the reward will still be counted and accrued, but the tokens will not be sent to the author's account until the completion of the moderation.

2) The review needs to have at least 2000 characters (not counting spaces).

3) The review needs to be based on the reviewer’s personal experience. The specific phrases and images from the review should not be published anywhere earlier.

4) Only the views from the publicly available direct links and from search engine results will be rewarded.

5) The subject of the review needs to be a service or a mass-produced product that is in demand.

6) Author needs to write at least 1 review each 30 days.

For example, you wrote a review on May 1. Then you stop writing reviews. You will keep getting rewards from May 1 to May 31, then the rewards will stop coming. As soon as you publish a new review of any other service or product the rewards will start coming again. Keep in mind that you need to write a new review, not update an old one.

This measure was implemented to make sure that you are still on the platform.

And now for some frequently asked questions:

1. Which reviews get rewards for views?

The review should have at least 2000 symbols and at least 3 images. It also needs to cover appropriate subjects.

2. For how long can a review generate rewards?

For as long as it is read. However, the reviewer has to write at least one review per 30 days, otherwise, the bonuses for his previously posted content will stop coming until he posts a new review.

3. Can I write reviews of anything I want?

You can. But rewards are disabled in some categories. Besides, you might want to consider if the subejct would be interesting for the readers.

4. Are there any guidelines that I have to follow?

There is a Review Policy that regulates all content on the platform. Aside from that, there are no limits, you are free to write whatever you want. Yet we recommend keeping in mind what the readers would like to see.

5. How do I get rewarded?

Same as before - you get RVN tokens. You can convert them into REV tokens and trade them on crypto exchanges. 1 RVN ≈ 1 USDT.

6. How much will I get per review?

The exact number of RVN that the reviewers get will be calculated based on daily ad revenue. If the page with your review has an ad banner - you get rewards. If Revain gets ad revenue from the views, or, better yet, if a visitor uses the partner link to buy a product, you will get a serious part of this income.

We are working with multiple ad companies. This is why the ad revenue from different pages might be different. Your rewards depend on the profit that your page generates.

Keep in mind that this is a work in progress. We hope to finish it by the end of October 2021. We will notify you of any changes.
