It’s been a while since we released some new features, but we are finally ready to add a lot more functionality to the platform starting from now. Today Revain is happy to roll out a brand new search.
The search which you may find in the top of revain.org was completely reworked, both technically and visually. Technically, we have written a new search algorithm from scratch, while visually it was redesigned and expanded with a new search results. Here is how it look now.
- We now use Elasticsearch engine, a solution that allows us to implement all the new features.
- Search function now recognizes non-exact matches and accounts for possible spelling mistakes.
- Search function now also parses reviews, blog posts, project descriptions, commentaries and static pages.
- Accordingly, search results are now split into the following categories:
- Pages (containing links to the pages of projects, exchanges, wallets, e.t.c.)
- Reviews (correspondingly containing links to the reviews containing picked keywords)
- Comments (same as reviews, but for comments)
- Blog (Appropriately containing links to the blog posts that contain the searched keywords.)
The algorithm is still being adjusted, but all mentioned features have already been implemented.
