Great second monitor

This is a great monitor for anyone who needs a second display to work from home, or any student who wants to increase their productivity while doing homework. I bought this monitor for this very purpose; So far I've found this monitor to have great build quality, great display options, and easy-to-use connectivity. Build quality This monitor has excellent build quality. From the stand to the monitor itself, quality materials seem to have been very important to the team that designed it. Assembly required no equipment and consisted of connecting the stand (two pieces) and attaching it to the display. The stand is not height-adjustable, but this is not a problem since it already brings the monitor to a comfortable viewing height. Although the design of the stand is very simple, you don't have to worry about the display falling or tipping over. This monitor is definitely built to last. Display As mentioned in the product review, this monitor has a resolution of 1920 x 1080, which is by no means stunning, but it's still capable of displaying HD images and videos. The really cool thing about this monitor is what HP calls IPS technology. Essentially, the technology allows the display to have a stunning 178° viewing angle, while still being able to display high-quality colours. This allows you to show a group of people what you're doing on screen in high quality, without them breathing down your neck. One thing this monitor lacks is built-in speakers, but you won't find many, if any, at this price point. If you're buying this monitor for the same purpose as me, your laptop should already have built-in speakers. Connectivity Connecting and powering this monitor is very simple and versatile. The power cord is standard for most electronic devices and plugs into the back of the monitor. This monitor can be connected to other displays via VGA or HDMI. It comes with a VGA cable, but my laptop only has HDMI capabilities. Luckily, you can buy an HDMI cable for around $5 to $10 at stores like Walmart or Target. Now if you're like me, you also have an extra VGA cable to carry around should you ever need one. Conclusion For the price, this monitor should be one of the best deals you can find. With easy assembly, excellent build quality, a state-of-the-art display and versatile connectivity options, you really have nothing left to wish for. I hope this review has helped you in your decision to buy a new monitor.
