In my experience I use a 9 V (6F22) lithium battery with a capacity of 600 mAh and a charge/ Discharge rate of 200mAh. - When the switch is on, the current consumption of the relay is 200 mA. So if your power supply current is limited to 300mA, the battery will only charge at 100mA. Therefore, increase the power supply current setting. - When the switch is off, the current draw of the relay is about 15-20mA, which will drain the battery if left unattended.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • You could also have chosen a newer model

A lot of current is drawn from the battery, please use the switch.

later Edit: Not DOA, it's only powered by a battery, not a charger, so you have to connect a battery for it to turn on. Only charge the charger after it has been programmed. I deducted two stars because a) the instructions suck and the above isn't mentioned, b) it draws 4 watts in standby mode (!) and c) it didn't come with a work stand. Also, you have to infer which button is which, based on the defaults set in the description, you can't read Chinese because that's the only writing on the…

It works very well!

I didn't buy this for a regular charge controller. I bought this as an experiment to run a generator set to turn on the generator and the generator and inverter take care of charging my battery. The inverter supplies up to 100 amps to charge the batteries. So if you're using a relay to turn on a generator set, this charge controller will do the job well. I can adjust the voltage when the genset starts and when it shuts down. It was a simple mod to solve a very complex problem. I hope he keeps…

Pros
  • Lasting test results
Cons
  • Everything is fine

Home solution for your old transformer diode charger.

The display shows the current battery voltage. When the battery voltage falls below 12V, the relay closes and connects the external charger. When the battery to be charged reaches the standard value of 14V, the relay switches off. The device is powered by a rechargeable battery. You must bypass this regulator for a completely dead battery. I installed mine in a plastic sandwich box. I made 4 holes for the wires. I sealed the holes with black liquid tape. Revain sells a bag of red and black…

Works better when read in Chinese

Bought to monitor some LiFePO batteries. I have a slightly different version that works the same but on a larger PCB with a smaller and lower rated relay. Voltage readings are accurate, but not accurate. It rounds 10 mV to 100 mV. This can cause premature disconnection from some chargers. I suspect it might make more sense to keep LiFePO batteries at 60-70% with this, but that's difficult with LiFePO batteries. Left button - RUN or supply voltage. The button on the right is STOP or Off Voltage.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Negative present
