Large cable entry fits plugs, sockets and sockets

The cable entry at the bottom is very large. I used 4-wire SOOW 6-gauge cable, but there was still a gap. I had to use some of the cable's black rubber jacket scraps to fill the gap. This is important not only for weather protection, but also to avoid stress on the internal connections. Now it's very durable and works great so far.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Good but not great

It appears to have been rated for 30 amp cords, not 50 amp

The biggest problem is getting the cords to fit the terminals. I have a standard 50A lead, the connectors were flimsy, and the design forced me to split the wire in two sections (be careful not to cut or snap the wires), flatten them, and then flush the ends cut to fit together. into the shell. A 5 minute job became a 30 minute job. Yes, it was cheaper, but I'd happily pay the extra $10 for a well-designed terminal.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some bugs

ROBUST DESIGN in RV Parts & Accessories

I connected 8 AWG stranded wire to this as I won't be using it for 50 amp service. It was easy enough, but if I had to run 6 AWG (50 amp) wire in it that would be a bitch. As with most connectors, there is not enough room to run a ground wire to the A-pillar. The wire holes on each connector barely had room for 8 AWG. 6 AWG probably won't fit. There is then only room for about 1/2 inch of uncut wire to pinch it. At some point the cable shield will fall out of the connector. Since they are all…

Pros
  • a handy item
Cons
  • so far so good
