Sturdy and safe steps

Love this product. The stabilizer was easy to install on our RV steps and makes them very sturdy and stable. No more bounce when coming in and out of our trailer.

Pros
  • Improves the overall appearance of your RV by adding a modern and sleek look to your steps
Cons
  • May not provide enough clearance for certain RVs.

Cheap stable way to stabilize the RV steps

It does stabilize the rocking of the RV when entering or leaving the RV. It’s easy to install if you are a DYI person. It. Adjust nicely to different ground levels but it does take a few minutes to adjust. I would buy it again.

Pros
  • ‎2020109777
Cons
  • May require additional support to work effectively.

Missing Parts - my new review

I ordered the stabilizer for my fifth wheel. The stabilizer itself seems like it will do a great job in keeping the stairs removing. But, I was not provided with any hardware to install it.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • May not be compatible with certain wheel configurations.

Fits exactly to the existing brackets

Replace the old steps but better designed. For example a drain hole allow the water to flow our of the steps grooves That's my review.

Pros
  • Easy to install by drilling four holes. Heavy gauge metal, easy to adjust. Would highly recommend.
Cons
  • Ok product only issue it’s on heavy side would be nice it factory uses aluminum make it lighter

Nice unit but has some flaws_Update

Got it installed, easy peasy. However, the Quick Release pins do not stay in place and fall out. Called Lippert and it was going to be an act of congress to get replacements so I just bought 2 new ones on Revain. Hope they work better than the OE ones. That aside, looks like what I was looking for.UPDATE: Others from Lippert contacted me and agreed to make things right. So, I updated my rating to 4 stars.

Pros
  • Great product, we'll see how it holds up
Cons
  • May not be compatible with aftermarket modifications.

Amazing, worth every penny

This exceeded my expectation in every way. It was easy to install (15-20 min) and made our camper steps so much better. For 4 years, I have been skipping over the bottom step because it sagged too much under any body weight (even my 90lb daughters), but now I feel like we got brand new steps at a fraction of the price. Definitely get these if you are thinking about it.

Pros
  • Reduces RV rocking and swaying when parked, enhancing comfort and stability for all passengers
Cons
  • Can be challenging to level properly.

Nicely made product with clear instructions

A paper template to mark mounting holes would be easier than trying to hold the product in pace while marking the step. That's my feedback.

Pros
  • PROTECTION — The Solid Stance even helps protect your bottom entry step from wear and sagging
Cons
  • May not work well with certain RV frame materials.

Could be wider on my review.

It doesn't cover the entire bottom step, so you need to be mindful to step in the middle. Could be wider for more stability

Pros
  • This is awesome works perfect made my steps solid love it.
Cons
  • Can be expensive compared to other stabilizer options.

Rock Solid for my opinion

Our camper steps were very bouncy. The brand of steps on our Keystone Passport is Hickory Springs and they have slotted steps so drilling wasn't necessary. After installing this stabilizer, the steps are now rock solid! Highly recommended!

Pros
  • Easy to install and requires no specialized tools or equipment, making it a hassle-free upgrade to your RV setup
Cons
  • May need regular tightening to remain stable.

Worth every penny! - my new review

We considered replacing the steps because of the movement and the stress it puts on the floor of the camper but this solved the problem! it folds down so the steps will still foldaway for travel. makes the steps very sturdy! Extremely impressed! This is a must have! I highly recommend it!

Pros
  • ‎Lippert
Cons
  • May require additional assistance from other campers.

Works like a champ on my 5th wheel RV

My rig came with one of these pre-installed on the rear steps. The pins totally rusted out and I needed to replace it. The original one was welded onto the steps so I did not want to remove the main bracket. I removed the rivet holding on the cables for the pins and re-riveted the new ones on. The extensions bolted right on and I was done. Love the new look.

Pros
  • great hardware,,very secure,,easily installed
Cons
  • Can add extra weight to your RV setup.

Good solution to bouncy steps

We've had several RV's qnd always hated the bouncy steps. We have looked at the full folding steps that store inside the door. They are very stable but have their own problems like dumping dirt/sand inside RV when folded up. These stabilizers are simple to install and firm up the steps eliminating the bounce entering and exiting the RV. Simple to fold up when ready to travel again.

Pros
  • Steps
Cons
  • May not work well on uneven pavement.

Makes shaky stairs stable

Bought a brand new camper and it has a set of pull out stairs for the rear steps that swayed when you stepped on it, factory said there was nothing wrong with it. Then thought of replacing the steps with a set of fold out stairs but ended up putting this on and it stabilized the stairs perfectly. I did have to fully disassemble the item to turn bolts and pull pins in the direction most useful, they may have been because it was a second chance return, my hardware was sealed but yet had an odd…

Pros
  • ‎22.63 x 4.38 x 3.38 inches
Cons
  • May not work well on steep inclines or declines.

Put them on soon! for my opinion

RV's are such junk. The steps were about to pull the floor apart on my 2018 Keystone. Amazing they would only screw the steps in with no support to the frame at all. These will put the weight on the ground. I did further reinforce my steps with steel brackets to the frame.

Pros
  • Item works as it should.
Cons
  • May not fit snugly against your RV.

Easy to install and makes a big difference

I did not have to drill holes for this install. I used the existing holes in the radius steps to mount the Solid Stance. It's not exactly where they recommend you install it but after install I tested it and it definitely makes the steps solid! There's no more spongy feeling in the steps or lean in the trailer as you mount. And the steps fold away without hinderance. Awesome product thus far!

Pros
  • Easy to install and worth every penny!
Cons
  • Can be difficult to find replacement parts.

Stability increased

Easy to install. Easy to use. Adds much needed stability. My lab even approves. Makes her feel safer going up the steps since the bottom step doesn't make as much noise or have as much give when she steps on it.

Pros
  • Made with high-quality materials that can withstand harsh weather conditions, making it durable and long-lasting
Cons
  • May not work well with certain types of tires.

A GOOD UPGRADE best in my review

I bought a new Jayco travel trailer three years ago and for the most part like it. But the one ongoing issue has been how unstable these lighter new trailers are. For one thing the new ones sit higher off the ground and that play into the floor unstableness. What I'm referring to is when the trailer is setup in a campground site, you can feel the floor shake when another person is walking or more noticeable when a person is entering the trailer. I have installed JT StrongArms and use XChocks…

Pros
  • Just great for make your steps not bouncy works great
Cons
  • Can be challenging to use if you have mobility issues.

No more bounce in my step…

I installed the stabilizer on Friday morning before we left for a weekend camping trip. I modified the install a bit, since our Flexco steps have holes in the tread, I used those openings rather than drilling holes. The stabilizer may be a little further back on the step than they suggest, but it seemed to work great.I was excited to see this product, as I had thought about replacing the entire steps, but the cost and effort was more than I wanted to invest. These were a great low cost option…

Pros
  • I'm a very large person and it makes the steps rock solid.
Cons
  • Can be bulky and difficult to store.

Great alternative to solid steps

Got this to improve the steps for our to little ones. It is a great inexpensive alternative to the solid steps. Fairly easy to install if you follow the instructions and take your time and measure. I really like how much it improves the sturdiness of the steps. Would recommend!

Pros
  • RV Parts & Accessories
Cons
  • Can be challenging to adjust for different RV heights.
