Definitely better than the manual version

Manually attaching multiple wire ends is fine, but if I have a lot of them, this bad boy will do them all quickly. The magnetic tip includes a removable square shank bit. This is good, since not all electrical end devices have the same size drives. The line knives are interchangeable. The spring-loaded retractable shell keeps the cane blades from clogging up my tool bag. Reams 1/2", 3/4" and 1" tubes which are popular sizes.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Works incredibly well

This product is selling so well I would say it performs better than the factory end at EMT. I have a piece of advice: buy some extra blades and throw them in your tools because they're harder to find and breaking them is inevitable. On a job with a lot of pipes I used up to 1 reamer once a month but it was worth it. It does an incredible job, saves a lot of time and most importantly reduces wear and tear on my wrist.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Large reamer for EMT. Makes feet clean and smooth quickly.

I like this reamer. Once you learn how to use this tool properly, it will make the pipe smooth and clean in 3 seconds. I use this on a Milwaukee drill set to second speed when setting up a clutchless drill. I insert the tool all the way into the EMT and apply light pressure, but not enough to grip the blades. Spin the drill at full speed and then push down so the blades come out and start expanding the pipe, but don't push the reamer too hard or the blades will get stuck in the pipe.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Garbage knives break too quickly

I used this on 3/4 EMT. I broke two blades in less than a month. I cut the pipe with a Hilti cordless circular saw. I have a Hilti 12V impact reamer. I walk calmly and easily because I don't want to break it, and going back to my hand reamer is like stepping back into the Stone Age. Unfortunately this piece of scrap blade breaks too easily and good luck finding a replacement. You won't find her. Works great if you only use it a few times. But then just use the normal manual sweep. For those of…

Otherwise I was happy with the design

I'll give this average rating. I found issues with the product that are specific to my tool/setup. So your mileage may vary here. I use this tool on commercial electrical work with a #2 M18 FULE v2 impact wrench (1500 rpm) and a hacksaw that produces little to no burr but can occasionally leave a large brush at 3/4 EMT. I can say that two of them broke mine and colleagues (sorry mate), both broke the blade of the tool from my punch. His version was shockproof and was bought at a home storage…

  • Absolutely amazing!

  • Not bad, but...
