Works for me on comforters and comforters

There has been some debate about this comforter and whether it is too flimsy or too crumpled. Not for my taste either. I got it for the "summer" version and it works fine on my big bed. It doesn't come with corner ties, but I use corner ties for duvet covers and just tie them tightly around the corner. Safety pins will do, too. It's very thin, but actually still warmer than I would like on hot summer nights without air conditioning. After reading some of the negative reviews I was in doubt…

Happy Surprise - Quilts & Duvets

What I wanted: a lightweight, warm, affordable duvet cover that was easy to wash. As with the cold-weather coat for anyone who doesn't want to look like an '80s sleeping bag, it was called synthetic fiber. When the Ikea Thin Inert for Duvet Cover arrived I was a bit disappointed: the liner looked sooooo thin, soooo thin. Synthetic; I thought, "Gosh, that's less than I expected." Ha ha --- happy surprise! The pad puffed up nicely when I tucked it into the duvet cover (microfiber quality) but…

Cheap and light

I bought a pair of these duvet inserts. They are inexpensive and not overly warm compared to most duvet covers. I live in a mild climate so this is perfect for me. It's supposed to be an insert, not a duvet, so I wouldn't use it without a duvet cover. Instead of loops to attach to the duvet cover, I use safety pins. Duvet covers tend to slip into the cover if they are not secured at the top, bottom, and sides. I read in other reviews that washing ruins it. Because it's cheap, I just wash the…

DO NOT tumble dry

Ordered two of these double size very thin inserts this summer. They arrived very quickly and were well packaged. I immediately washed them and tumble dried them on a delicate/low heat. One insole was ok, the other was fused in some places. I was rather disappointed. After carefully pulling out the melted spots, the broken insert was still usable for the season (it's in the duvet cover and you really don't see that it has melted holes). In the fall I will return to the winter liners and these…

Excellent THIN/SUMMER blanket!

This is a super thin blanket. I bought this for a 10 year old who sleeps on the hot side. It's not all plush and soft, and wrap yourself in a soft burrito. This is a pad for people who are hot but still want to cover themselves with a blanket. Our nights are still on the cool side in the low 40's to mid 50's (Fahrenheit). Our home is well insulated and the air conditioning is set to 65F at night and my daughter is very comfortable with this comforter. I'll buy more for other kids when we get a…

I love this insert. for duvets and quilts

I don't understand all the hate for this product. I was almost afraid to open the package when it arrived thinking I had wasted my money. I was so glad to see that the hateful reviews were wrong. When the package arrived, I immediately put it in the washing machine on the "Allergy" setting, which is the longest and hottest. I thought if it fell apart then it's about time. Luckily, it washes and dries beautifully, with no lumps or bumps, and not a single thread is out of place. I put the insert…
